Tinnitus from Severe Anxiety — Best Tinnitus Doctor in San Diego or Los Angeles?

I'm looking for a doctor myself now that I am back in LA. I'll let you know if I find anyone that seems good. I had a tough time finding a decent doctor in Australia.

Internal Head Tinnitus: Is It Likely Going to Be Permanent?

@racedy, I'm heading into 1 year soon. I have had some good days, and some bad days. Currently in a bit of a spike so I find myself back here. I've gone months not letting it get to me and so I try and stay off this site. I mostly head to the Success Stories when I login for some modicum of...

My Tinnitus Is Almost Gone After 3 Years: It's Now a Faint Ringing — No Longer Hyperacusis Either

@Vii, was your tinnitus in your ear, or in your head, or both? If the in your head question does not make sense: My tinnitus is not really focused in one particular ear, but it feels like it is in the back of my head.

    GABA Supplements (Including Picamilon)

Online at bulknutrients.com.au (link not directly working). Weird thing is, I don't think they have it anymore. I bought it back in May, but nothing listed on their website anymore.

    GABA Supplements (Including Picamilon)

@Zaimon I totally understand, I've done (and am still doing) the same. A couple of things that I have found that made moderate improvements to add to your list: - Fasting (18/6 hours) - Vestibular tinnitus treatment with Chiropractor (this may just be because the stress of tinnitus is wreaking...

    GABA Supplements (Including Picamilon)

@Zaimon Hello! Looks like you have as high a frequency head tinnitus as I do (I am at 13.5 kHz). Just wanted to drop in my 2 cents because Picamilon is available to me here in Australia (which is basically GABA that can pass the blood brain barrier). It doesn't help my head tinnitus at all.

Valsalva Changed Tinnitus Tone to Hiss/Sizzle — Anyone Else with a Similar Experience?

I performed the Valsalva 3 weeks ago, and immediately have been experiencing a spike. So far I'm going on 3 weeks of consistently louder ringing, and strangely my diet now affects my tinnitus where it did not before. It's always head based bilateral tinnitus. Trying to not let this freak me...

How to Cure Tinnitus Linked to Eustachian Tube Dysfunction

@Tonya Yeah, head tinnitus is hard to explain to people who thinks it’s always ear based. When you say something dislodged from the mineral oil, did something physically come out of your ears, or was it a sensation of something dislodging? And thank you for taking the time to reply to my...

Tinnitus Spike from Olive Oil Drops

@iwanttosurvive Did the ringing from the olive oil drops ever die down? I am considering mineral oil or olive oil, but that sounds like it might be a bit dangerous given your experience.

After Years of Coping with Tinnitus, It's Now Transferred from High-Pitch to Static Noise

@Cher69 I have had a relatively similar experience happen to me. For the duration of my tinnitus (6 months), I have had a bilateral head tinnitus tone at around 13.5 kHz. I am fairly certain I have ETD, so 2 weeks ago I was trying a Nasonex/valsalva maneuver from a YouTube post here. Ever since...

How to Cure Tinnitus Linked to Eustachian Tube Dysfunction

I just wanted to add a word of caution to this thread. I tried the valsalva technique in the video above, and am on week 2 of a serious spike. It is worse than before. My tinnitus was non-reactive to my diet, but now if I drink caffeine, or have too much salt on my fries it goes through the...

Valsalva Changed Tinnitus Tone to Hiss/Sizzle — Anyone Else with a Similar Experience?

I’ve had tinnitus since May 1st, 2020. It was starting to be something that would have 3-4 bad days followed by 1-2 good days. And it would repeat over and over. I tried the Valslava manuever as demonstrated by Dr. Mandell on this YouTube video: Then I immediately felt light headed, and I...

Anyone Else Have Ultra-High Frequency Tinnitus?

Put me down as part of the high frequency head tinnitus crew. Probably running about 14.5 kHz as best I can tell. Seems to stem from NIHL in my right ear. I can not hear the high frequencies in my right ear as well as I used to be able to. I’m about 13 weeks in. I’ve started rating my days on a...

Internal Head Tinnitus: Is It Likely Going to Be Permanent?

Hello good people of Tinnitus Talk! It has been 12 weeks (3 months) since my tinnitus started. It was definitely from a tympanogram at an ENT’s office. My tinnitus is also head tinnitus. There is no perceptible tinnitus in my ears themselves. Lately I have been noticing that I have a 4 day...

The Sound of My Own Brain? Ringing in the Head, Not the Ears

@NeoKortex88 That's very interesting. My tinnitus is exclusively “brain” tinnitus. I will have fleeting tinnitus from time to time, but the internal sound never stops (going on 3 months now). So you had this internal tinnitus stop after 2 years? Was it sudden, or gradual over that time frame...

Internal Head Tinnitus: Is It Likely Going to Be Permanent?

The tinnitus I have is internal. I still occasionally have fleeting tinnitus in both ears, but I've had that for as long as I can remember (I'm 43 years old). My tinnitus was caused by a tympanogram, so I consider it noise/pressure induced tinnitus. My question to you all: If I am suffering...

Occasional Ear Pain Behind Ear Lobe

Hello everyone. I’ve made just a handful of replies to date, but haven’t really started a post of my own. Quickly: I’m at 6 weeks in with tinnitus. I went to see an ENT about a small amount of hearing loss, and after a tympanogram, I haven’t stopped hearing a high pitch ring (13kHz range)...

Developed Tinnitus About Two Months Ago — Thought It Was from Loud Noise at Work, Now Uncertain

A Test (Maybe Tympanogram?) at the ENT Department Made My Tinnitus Much Worse

Hello TBH, I found your post because I think the exact same thing happened to me. In February 2020 I had a loud percussive sound, and air hose burst near me, that caused a small amount of damage in my right ear. I'm an american visiting in Australia, so I went to see an ENT, probably a little...
