It's been a while since I've been here. Are things looking better for tinnitus treatments since a year ago? Any major updates?

My tinnitus just seems worse again. Idk what happened. I guess stress is not good for these things.

Yesterday I had a really loud 30 seconds of T in my left ear. It went down but my left ear T seems louder than before. Anxious and tired.

T bad in right ear again. Hopefully it goes down soon. Really tired so may be contributing.

A flat tone has come back in my left ear (better ear). It's not super loud but it had disappeared for a long time.

Just to clarify on any confusion, miRNA (micro RNA) and mRNA (messenger RNA) are not the same thing.

My tinnitus that was kinda consistent tone for quite a while was like oh let's try being high pitched now. Lol idk wtf

Does anyone think that tmj can cause significant tinnitus and ear pain? I still have pain and T on my right side where my jaw cracks.

Thinking about how Tavares gets kneed in the head and is ok while I experienced emotional trauma and get tinnitus and visual snow syndrome.

I can just imagine that we are always saying "we are at the forefront of medicine" and then nothing happens and we get disappointed.

Right ear still hurts after 8 months. I remember ENT was like "just some jaw inflammation"... Yeah right.

No. Going to the doctor's office was basically being told that it's all in my head and there is nothing he can do about it. There was no diagnosing at all. However, I can only hear tinnitus in one ear.

So nice waking up to no tinnitus in the morning. I may make sleeping my new hobby.

It's not so rare. I have unilateral tinnitus. If one ear is much louder than the other, you can consider it unilateral in my book as well.

Did any of these people get rid of their tinnitus? Did the effects of the drug last after they stopped using it?

Would've gotten my 2nd dose of pfizer yesterday. Instead Canada is trying this thing where they postpone it to 4 months. Great...

In the next 10-20 years there will be more advanced drugs than ever before.

Starting to feel better lately. Watching tiktoks of blind ppl have made me humble myself a bit. If they can live happy, I can try too.

I don't know why everyone is speculating this and that and blah blah blah. Maybe just let them find out why the results were like that??? Stop blaming audiologists and even people for being fakers. Word recognition score isn't even fool proof test. It's easy to hear two words that sound similar...

Just try not to get visual snow from a drug like this... It sucks. Lol.

I saw that the hype was leading up to this unfortunately. I could see the whole dream collapsing with other companies like Otonomy, etc. having not achieved desirable results. IMO we are wasting time dreaming about these companies who have funding and will have these results (good or bad) come...

Unfortunately these are about the results I expected... It's not all bad news though!

Ignored my tinnitus for the whole day today. Subsequently it has been quiet. A long time since I have been able to do that. Great news.

The hospital I work at just recently acquired a 7T MRI machine. High definition MRIs are finally here. Hoping this will help a lot of ppl.

I have really bad floaters that just keep getting worse. I wish it would go away.

Wouldn't be surprised if many things wrong with our bodies are simple fixes. We just haven't gotten to that point yet (of fixing it).

Can depression cause tinnitus or worsen it? I think so.

If I don't make a new status at least every 6 months, then I'm probably dead. I'm doing ok, Just don't want to be forgotten.

Imo, we aren't even close to a treatment for tinnitus. We aren't even within reach. Might as well give up.

Day 245: Tinnitus still not gone yet.
