Reactive T on the other hand won’t give up and I’ve kind of relegated myself to just having this for life. Kind of what I alluded to in the comment above: I’m tired of caring so freaking much and I seem to do better when I just let go and roll with the punches.

Yea man @Wrfortiscue i think I’m finally getting to the point where I just don’t care if I spike after doing something fun, and within reason. Nox is basically non-existent now. Only thing that persists is this weird menthol sensation that washes over my right cheek when I project my voice.

Sounds pretty identical to me for the most part. Had head T for around 20 years. Picked up a new tone in 2017, and what I now realize was my first signs of hyperacusis. Didn’t think too much of it as it went away. June 2021 everything changed.

@ZFire that sounds like me for the most part, except for it being quiet in the mornings. For the most part, if it’s loud and reactive in the morning it will be like that all day. If it’s quiet in the morning, I usually get a reprieve from the new nasty tone and it’s reactiveness. Really just...

Can Your Own Voice Cause Tinnitus?

Not really sure if this is what you are getting at @CrystalB but when I first developed hyperacusis, my own voice would raise my tinnitus in my right ear if I projected my voice enough. I recovered from that after 6 months, but a spike has caused it to come back.
