@Damocles I believe there are multiple causes for my T, those being ear infections/surgery at a young age, noise-induced or minor hearing loss because of that, TMJ, and/or even stress. It's been hard to attack each of these reasons head-on simultaneously. Thank you for your reply.

    Lion's Mane Mushroom

My apologies, I must have misunderstood. I thought I read in one of the thread posts that if someone started taking the mushrooms they would have to stop after a while so as to not build up a tolerance.

Trial and Error at a Young Age — Lost Hope of My Tinnitus Getting Better

@kingsfan Yes, of course. My doctor chose to prescribe me Zoloft for anxiety but unfortunately, it made me extremely tired all the time as a side effect. In response to this, they added Wellbutrin because it gives patients energy with its dose of norepinephrine. So now, I take Zoloft at night so...

    Lion's Mane Mushroom

Does anyone have recommendations for people who don’t feel comfortable with Lion’s Mane mushrooms? I’m just nervous about accidentally getting addicted to them.

Trial and Error at a Young Age — Lost Hope of My Tinnitus Getting Better

@Matchbox Yes, I had bloodwork done in September and November 2020, and the only significant result to come out of the November test was low folate levels. I've been taking daily supplementation for that and I haven't noticed a change.

Tinnitus for 5 Weeks Following TD Vaccine (Tetanus-Diphtheria Booster) with Augmentin

@Jeremiah C Have you found studies about the relationship between the booster shot and tinnitus? I've never heard of that being a cause before. There could be an underlying cause that you're not aware of. What have you tried specifically so far?

    Ear Surgery... a Possible Cause?

Hi @SLQ, I suggest reading my first thread post on my profile. Long story short, I had ear surgery at a very young age and I think that that started my tinnitus journey and made my ears more susceptible to things in the long run.

Should I Use White Noise to Mask My Buzz/Ring? Or Continue Listening to My Tinnitus?

@JohnCG, I agree with lots of the replies that are saying to not mask it all the time because your brain will get used to it. At the same time, I would recommend using it at night to help you sleep if it starts to interfere with that. Not being well-rested will probably stress you out even more...

Trial and Error at a Young Age — Lost Hope of My Tinnitus Getting Better

@Simon85, thank you for your reply. I've noticed a slight increase in the severity of the ringing on Wellbutrin but I can't stop taking it because it's the only thing that can get me out of bed in the morning. With that being said, I appreciate the time you took to let me know about this.

Trial and Error at a Young Age — Lost Hope of My Tinnitus Getting Better

Hi, I'm Maddy and I'm a new member here on Tinnitus Talk. My first memory of tinnitus goes all the way back to when I was around 8 years old. It didn't take me long to realize that the ringing wasn't a norm for other people. Over the years, the severity of my tinnitus slowly began to worsen...
