I'll give you an example. When I'm around certain sounds/environments for a long period of time, my T could be a 9/10 and drop to a 2/10. Specifically when i play video games with my speakers about a foot away from my ears (like a headset) My t will 99.9% diminish no matter how bad it is.

Whooshing Noise in Right Ear in Response to Other Sounds: Is This Tinnitus?

In my own theory, I would say it is a form of reactive tinnitus, but the big one that is the most worrisome, imo, is the type of reactive tinnitus that permanently, or and for an extended period of time, gets wore to due to certain external noises, and levels of loudness, or certain frequencies...

Whooshing Noise in Right Ear in Response to Other Sounds: Is This Tinnitus?

It's diplacusis, not reactive tinnitus. It's your ears that can't completely pick up on all the frequencies being output, usually from a white noise, so your brain interprets those sounds as other noises/frequencies that ride over or with the original sound. It's mostly caused by hearing damage...

Brain zaps are a feeling not T, in to which I believe MiaVIL is referring to. Brain Zaps are due to the malfunction of neurotransmitters as they try equalizing into homeostasis after ceasing AD's. I've had them before for months after quitting Zoloft way before I developed Tinnitus. @Tryn2BHopeful

Why Does Alcohol Seem to Reduce the Severity of My Tinnitus? Coincidence or Not?

Alcohol always quiets down my tinnitus, and I'm sure it has something to do with GABA and the brain. But alcohol will make tinnitus worse in the long run because it is neurotoxic and ototoxic.
