Maybe a bit reactive. Like if I go into a super loud bar one night, it might be louder than it was but it will usually go away.

    Suicidal

I don’t know if you are able to do this with the other things you have going on but getting drunk is what relieved me on the nights I had no chance of sleeping. It’s different for everyone as some say drinking makes their tinnitus louder but for me, it completely silences my ears. Sometimes in...

    Suicidal

You all can get better. Take your time. I understand it’s different for everyone but just over a year ago, I was in a terrible time and I am now not even paying attention to it. I know how it feels to be in that complete despair mode. The biggest thing for me was getting back to sleep. Once I...

I think this is one of the things that really affected me early on. Luckily I came to grips with the fact it isn’t my fault.

Tons of Medical Issues — Tinnitus Pushing Me Over the Edge

I have health problems also but just enjoy what you can. Your ear ringing will probably subside at some point. You are really early on and in panic and that is the absolute worst time. Give it some time and I bet you will feel better.

Are Alcohol and Tobacco Reckless a Week After Blast Noise Exposure?

Smoking cigarettes doesn't change my tinnitus at all. Alcohol actually completely silences my tinnitus when I get drunk. However, the next day it's usually worse with the hangover but goes back to normal after like 24 hours. So I say to enjoy yourself.

Wet and Itchy Ears & Tinnitus — OCD and Anxiety Don't Help Matters

I should add a few more things to this as it's been awhile and I now have a lot more patterns I have figured out. I have luckily got back to sleep but I still wake up hearing it all the time. It's so weird as to how your brain works. I probably had this at the same noise level for quite awhile...

Wet and Itchy Ears & Tinnitus — OCD and Anxiety Don't Help Matters

What would cause that? I didn't just have a wet feeling, it was actually wet with marks on my pillow.

    Suicidal

I'm very familiar with you story as you came here around the same time as me. The one thing you have going for you is it is still VERY early for you. How to Cope with the Unknown — Never Knowing How Your Tinnitus Is Tomorrow

Very understandable fears. I try to look at it this way... None of us on this planet suffering from a chronic condition or not have any idea what could happen at any moment. None of us no matter the shape we are in are guaranteed anything. Just try to enjoy your good days and be thankful for...

I'm Lost with Constant Suicidal Thoughts — My Tinnitus Is All I Can Think About

To the OP... I know everyone's case is different but I definitely think already having anxiety and OCD makes this condition worse. I suffer from anxiety and OCD myself and my story is very similar to yours. I think I have always heard some slight ringing (not sure) but over the last couple...

Wet and Itchy Ears & Tinnitus — OCD and Anxiety Don't Help Matters

I am a 41 year old who has always thought I could hear some noises in my head as long back as I can remember but I also am not completely sure about that. I noticed at the end of summer that once and awhile I would wake up with my head buzzing after a long night of listening to headphones but...
