When i wear my earplugs to sleep, the melodies from my left ear go straight over to my right ear. So I feel something is off with my brain. I have no idea what's going on (left ear is the bad ear).

Moderate Hearing Loss, Tinnitus and Hyperacusis from Shooting Guns (AR-15, AK-47, Shotgun, Pistol)

@MatthewR, I'll tell you that you'll slowly start to begin remembering who you were again. Yes, it will take a long time (talking years here) but it will happen. There is definitely a lot of hope for you to recover. I remember my acoustic trauma and felt dead inside as all the doctors I went to...

4th of July Is the Scariest Day of the Year — My Story

Hi all, I wanted to post an update since it's been about 10 months since my acoustic trauma last year. I've kind of dropped off the forum in the last 6 or so months with the disasters that were FX-322 and OTO-413. I've been doing better recently, my multi-tonal tinnitus (ringing, static...

Otonomy OTO-413 — Treatment of Hidden Hearing Loss

A little something I found about BDNF: it appears that an over abundance of it causes epilepsy and toxic neuron excitability in the brain. Multiple studies from the below link indicate it. I was against the increased dosage that Otonomy decided to roll with for the last trial. Might have had a...

This followed the same footsteps as Otonomy, multiple dosing one week after the next, whereas Otonomy tripled the amount of gel/BDNF. I still wish they'd release the best responders and give insight into their diet, exercise routine, and other 'odd' tidbits of their lifestyle, like if they...

My bottle of Bragg's ACV was running low so I added about 3 swigs instead of the normal 1. I saw a slight decrease in my tinnitus. I've been increasing the dosage in my smoothie. Maybe a slight drop in tinnitus, but my mood is better and I have more energy.

Improvements for People with Burning Pain (in Silence) Hyperacusis?

I've had the acid pain straight for the last seven months and swelling in my middle ear as my ear heals. I'm hoping it goes away by the end of the year since that would be 18 months from the date of my trauma. I'm tired of the pain and having to take Tramadol for it, among other drugs. I sleep...

    Frequency Therapeutics — FX-345

Dexamethasone injections cost $300 near me and that's for the uninsured. I figure the FX-322 procedure's cost would be similar though the amount of gel being injected is far less (0.2 milliliters I believe is the dose they are still using, Dexamethasone injections are 1.0 ml a pop).
