Soft Foam Ear Plugs While Flying?

Hi all. Would appreciate your advice. In 11 days I'm taking an 8 hour flight to New York from Ireland. I have earplanes plugs which I've used on short 45 minute flights before between Ireland & UK. However, I find my T spikes afterwards and stays that way for 3-4 days. I notice the difference...

Recommended Earplugs for an Indoor Sports Event

I live in the UK, and on Saturday 27 February I am going to the Carl Frampton v Scott Quigg boxing fight in the Manchester Arena. Basically, an indoor venue that will have around 25,000 roaring fans. Naturally, having T I could not go there without ear protection. My ears would be ringing...

Pulsatile Tinnitus at Night Time — with Sinusitis

Hi all, I have had T since August 2003, and deal with it pretty well. After I have a cold, flu or whatever - I always have sinusitis for around 3-4 days. When I do, I use medication to help get rid of it. My T does increase in noise during it, but only temporary. Anyway, yesterday morning I...

Flying & Otitis Media with Effusion

Hi all, I've had tinnitus for 12 years now and have dealt with it quite okay for most the time. What I am worried about is an upcoming flight. Back on 31 July 2014, that was my last time I flew anywhere. It was a short 40 minute flight, and I touched down that night around 9.30pm. Was...

    Newbie. Had Tinnitus Since 2003

Hi all. Re: tinnitus it still only increases at night, and thats not because I'm normally in a quiet bedroom trying to sleep. I've tested quiet times in mid-afternoon for volume and its lower. I think natural nighttime muscle tensing is a reason behind this. Overall, I could sum my current t...

    Newbie. Had Tinnitus Since 2003

Hi, I am new to the site and been a tinnitus sufferer since 2003. After a short 1 hour flight to Amsterdam, the tinnitus started about 60 mins later and is still there today, 11 years on. During them 11 years I've flown about 3 times a year, mostly on short domestic flights. Never had any real...
