Spike in Tinnitus from Perforated Eardrum?

Thanks Jack! Unfortunately, I’ve had problems with my ears for several years, have been diagnosed with ETD several times, and nothing the doctor’s prescribed or anything I’ve tried seems to help with it. The doctor gave me Flonase and Zyrtec this time. Im taking it, but it’s not helping...

Spike in Tinnitus from Perforated Eardrum?

A few weeks ago I found out I had an ear infection and perforated eardrum in my left ear. The infection has healed, but my tinnitus is still louder. My ear also feels plugged up and my hearing is muffled. My eardrum probably ruptured from the infection or blowing my nose too hard. I've had...

Dulled Hearing, Louder Tinnitus, Ear Feeling Plugged Up, and Drainage in the Morning

About 2.5 weeks ago I went to urgent care after my ear feeling plugged for a couple weeks and noticing excess, runny wax. They told me I had swimmer’s ear and gave me Ciprodex drops. I went back three days later to get it rechecked, and they told me I had a perforated eardrum, to discontinue...

AM-102: Auris Medical and KCL Collaborate in Drug Discovery for 2nd Generation Tinnitus Treatment

Does anyone know what this "new target" for AM-102 is? Does that mean it's for chronic T? I'm tired of this whole waiting thing. I'd like a treatment/cure now, please. ;)

Autifony Therapeutics Phase II Study for AUT00063, for the Treatment of Hearing Loss and Tinnitus

I think there was too much money involved to credit Autifony's "failure" to stupidity.

Autifony Therapeutics Phase II Study for AUT00063, for the Treatment of Hearing Loss and Tinnitus

Something just does not seem right with this trial. Several users who took Trobalt did not experience a reduction in T until they tapered up to a certain high enough dosage. How could Autifony keep their dosage the same and conclude that AUT00063 is ineffective? This dosage could be low enough...

    My Dilemma (Effexor & Xanax)

Have you tried using a noise generator to help with sleep? I listen to white noise every night to mask the T and help me sleep. You can try taking the Effexor for a few days and see how you feel. If it made your ears ring louder or bothered you, you could stop taking it. I've taken benzos...

Paper Patching of the Tympanic Membrane as a Treatment for Patulous Eustachian Tube Syndrome

For myself, my ear would pop as I breathed in and out of my nose. I could hear my breaths inside my ear, had ear fullness, and my inner ear felt like it was vibrating when I'd talk. This would cause me to stutter sometimes. The doctor was able to definitively diagnose my condition by being able...

Paper Patching of the Tympanic Membrane as a Treatment for Patulous Eustachian Tube Syndrome

That's interesting information. I used to get a tube put into my ear for patulous Eustachian tube syndrome, and it would relieve the symptoms. A patch would have been a lot easier. I'll have to show my doctor this if I ever have symptoms again.

Autifony Therapeutics Phase II Study for AUT00063, for the Treatment of Hearing Loss and Tinnitus

Do we know for sure that the trial shut down because AUT00063 is not effective? Attheedgeofscience seems to hint that the trial is over for this reason, but won't say yes or no. The calls that Danny Boy made indicate the trial is still going. The letter that David Ho received indicated the trial...

Melatonin Trial Being Conducted in the UK

I take 3mg every night. It helps me sleep regularly, but does not do anything for T that a regular night of sleep doesn't do.

Autifony Therapeutics Phase II Study for AUT00063, for the Treatment of Hearing Loss and Tinnitus

@Gill Hayes , why will it takes 3-5 years? That just seems like such a terribly long time to wait, especially if things go well (fingers crossed!). What in the process takes so long?
