@vilebubbles I am not sure I understand the meaning of double pro? but I do wear earplugs often, but not the whole time, they start to hurt my ears after a while.
Have had very bad T and pain H for about 14 years now, it still sucks and robbed me of things I used to be able to do and enjoy. Typing this with raging T and pain. It only ends in my dreams. Waking up feels like a bomb went off in my head every morning.
Yes that was immediately after I got T from acoustic trauma. it was horrible, but it got better after a few weeks. till the point where I had pretty much no pain.
Hallo, I still have pain, at times its worse than other times, sometimes I dont really feel pain, it really depends if I have been exposed to certain sounds.
You will get past that person you wanted. been there. took just over 2 years to get over it all. There is someone for you out there, dont worry about it.
Even when things are at their worse and we see no hope, we must know that there will be a time again where we will be out of the situation we are facing at present. Only the Lord can carry us through it all and do the impossible, open doors where we dont see any, close those that need to be...
thank you! yes I have times where it has gotten better, but it just started to go downhill again. back on magnesium again to see if it helps. Also hope we get a real cure soon!!
Shooting a Glock 9mm in an indoors shooting range took my tinnitus and pain hyperacusis to a new level. I was wearing good earmuffs. I can't imagine not using hearing protection. I already had severe tinnitus when this happened. But I've shot at open air ranges in the past when I had tinnitus...
If you want to talk about being stupid, I gave an oral presentation in high school about tinnitus and what causes it. I got the information from a guitar magazine. I just did not apply the information myself and eventually blew up my ears playing guitar.
@Strawberryblonde thank you, yes it is a shame, but rather give it up and have less days of pain in my ears - I can live with the ringing, wooshing, screetching, buzzing in my ears, but the pain is too much that music and loud sounds causes me.
Yes musician earplugs are not good for long times of loud sound exposure. Even normal ones may not be enough as sound vibrations also travel through our bones.
