    Scam?: Tinnitus Terminator

@fixedgear808 It was inevitable that the Tinnitus Terminator websites would finally go offline. I'm so glad that people will not be lured in any longer for this bogus 'cure'.

New to Tinnitus and It's Getting Worse

Welcome! It sounds as if you are exploring a lot of possibilities for helping your T. Be sure to keep us informed of any treatment that has positively influenced your condition. I have reactive T with hearing loss in both ears and it has been a difficult journey. In case you are unfamiliar...

    Scam?: Tinnitus Terminator

@Barliman I'd sure call it a scam based on my personal experience with it. Granted, I didn't use it for a year but after a few weeks I could tell it wasn't going to work. You would think that on this site there would be at least one person who posted that it does what it describes it will...

New Sufferer with Reactive Tinnitus. Advice, Please.

@al3xisnic0le Mine never went away. I've learned to deal with it but am not able to socialize as much as is so stressful trying to decipher speech but I force myself to interact because being around people is part of my self prescribed mental health program. For me, isolation is not good as...

Question for People with Severe Hearing Loss and Tinnitus

@Fabio Moraes Your advice is spot on. Some days I just want to be alone and not have any interaction with people as it is so challenging to understand speech and the T gets louder with any noise at all. However, I realized that a part of my mental health in dealing with this condition is to be...

Who Remembers What Silence Was Like?

I do miss music a lot. I think music can connect us to others and is just plain fun to listen to. It is now just gibberish and hurts my ears so haven't listened to anything since 2008. I have learned to ignore my T when on walks in nature but at the beginning it was very hard to ignore the...

Who Remembers What Silence Was Like?

@kioakviz It's funny you should ask about remembering silence. I've had reactive tinnitus with hearing loss since 2008 and every morning I have about 3 seconds between being asleep and being awake that it is silent. It used to make me sad because I was focused on how life used to be but now...

    Head Feels Pressurized

@serendipity1996 I liked your description "brain is always straining and labouring". Right now its so bad I can't think of being around people as it makes me so edgy I'd have a meltdown. Does yours come and go or is it constant? Does your T get louder or remain the same?

    Head Feels Pressurized

@Telis Have you found anything to help with the pressure? I'm going a bit crazy right now because I had been doing fairly well living with reactive T, and HL, and the head pressure was only occasional so I had coping skills I had developed. It seems now that the pressure is almost daily and...

    Scam?: Tinnitus Terminator

@Bumps You can read my earlier posts concerning TT. Long story short . . .don't waste your money. I ordered it, did the program, no difference in my tinnitus. They don't (won't) send you a CD, its all downloaded to your computer so there is no cost to return the item. I had a real hassle...

    Scam?: Tinnitus Terminator

Well, I agree for the most part with this advice but you have to realize that tinnitus can range from mild to unbearable. I doubt any doctor would say "learn to live with it" if his patient was exhibiting signs of extreme anxiety, depression, or thoughts of suicide. I have reactive tinnitus...

    Scam?: Tinnitus Terminator

@MerkinBill I think there will always be individuals who will prey on people who are desperate. I know when I'm having a really bad day it affects my internal 'scam meter' and I start thinking, "well maybe this will work and it sounds like a good rap, etc., etc. I fell for the Tinnitus...

@EricB It's a waste of time to have anything to do with Tinnitus Terminator. My personal opinion is that its a scam. I tried it and no change at all. It took me awhile but I finally got my money back. Read my post on page 3 of this forum. The My Noise site is exceptional and you can...

Tinnitus Upper Cervical Testimony St Petersburg, FL

I have the same tingling feeling which can extend all the way down to my feet at times. I think it may be nerve entrapment or impingement so tomorrow I go in for my first osteopathic treatment. I've tried a chiropractor, but the treatment didn't change anything. I stayed with it for a couple...

@Hdun97 I''m seeing an osteopath next week and would like to know how your treatment is going. I've been to several ENT and they don't seem to realize how debilitating this condition is. I think because I look normal they think I should just keep a 'stiff upper lip' and ignore it . . . .if...

New Sufferer with Reactive Tinnitus. Advice, Please.

Hi, I have the same type of reactive T. Any sound sets it off, even ones that I can't hear (I wear hearing aids) but the noise vibration in my ears gets louder so I know something has caused it. I watch TV with closed caption as its painful otherwise and no more music as it doesn't sound much...

    Is Tinnitus Progressive?

When my condition first happened in 2008 I had mild tinnitus in one ear and hearing loss. I had a white noise machine that masked the T so I was not too upset or focused on the T. I am also going to see an osteopath for my T, and H in a couple of weeks. Will your osteopath be working in the neck area? Very interested in your treatment. At this point I'm not overly optimistic but I have to keep an open and positive mind. If I'm exposed for too long to noise of any type...

    Drugs That Lower Tinnitus Volume

I tried it and it did lower T in one ear but the T that really gives me trouble wasn't affected by the drug at all. Even if it was all positive I wouldn't have continued because of the side effects. For me I had horrible dry mouth and I was still in a stupor when I woke up in the morning. It...

@Tigo I have hearing loss and T also. I used to just have T in one ear, but now it is in both but the right ear T is still what gives me the most trouble. The good news :) is that things finally settled down as I was in a panic too when the changes kept happening. I have hearing aids in both...
