I just wanted to say:
We're all here. Some of us comment more than others, and some of us are lurkers (like myself, usually.)
But here's the thing: I'm optimistic a cure will occur at some point in our lives. The market's huge for the person or persons who figures this thing out - as well as ever more wary of therapies that simply don't work. This means there's less lobbying from drug companies to keep a cure at arm's length... might as well welcome the (huge) short-germ gain, right?
And that gives me hope. But that doesn't mean I don't struggle. I have bad days. More bad days than good, even. My T recently overtook my left ear after 10 years of it being in just my right.
A sad day, indeed.
I look forward to the day when we all log on here to a celebratory thread by @Markku or @attheedgeofscience, noting success in a clinical trial of some sort. And I also look forward to sharing the feeling of a huge, fantastic win over this terrible condition.
This quote gets me through on bad days. Maybe it can be of use to you, as well:
"And once the storm is over, you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won't even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won't be the same person who walked in. That's what this storm's all about."
Would love to link up with some of you on Twitter or YouTube. I'm a bit more active there.

Also, be sure to remember and do the survey TTalk has pushed to your inboxes. Past donating or advocacy, I'm sure that's the biggest impact you can have.
