1st off special thanks for getting me this far to all you positive people @Kaelon @Markku @cricket @John Meyers @svaults @Mr cricket @generalfuzz @Matterhorn @Steve @Mike L @Purple Parrot.

Need some advice here on Chiro care. thanks.

I have what I think is very fluctuating T. Uni-Bi lateral volume change that has actually gone away momentarily but can get loud. I've gotten used to in it's calmest state (2-3), 5 out of 7 days. It is highly correlated with mental stress then concludes itself in tight neck shoulders and jaw. Almost definitely, if I sleep wrong (neck position) I have a bilateral louder buzz for a day and 1/2. In a chill day ,it's in my left ear about a 3/10. If I work on a laptop with poor posture looking down, same thing. Based on a recommendation from a friend I went to an orthopedic Chiropratic and X-rays show a forward neck posture (slightly normal for my age) and other cervical subluxations with c2/c1 mis-alignment. However after the entire drive there, (3 times a week) the experience of being told I'm slightly "off" every time and how I feel after a corrective treatment (T spike) seems to make things worse for the short term.

It's almost putting more stress on my body and mind then it's worth. Since there's a documented correlation with C1/C2 Dens misalignment and he is not that Cervical specialist I was thinking about getting a 2nd opinion from a Cervical specialist. My gut feeling is this is only stressing me and it's just the way my body is. I do not have much pain in my back nor neck, only tight neck muscles. With my inversion and other exercises I can do at home now, it seems the less stressful route would be to see someone every 2 weeks to "check in" with and continue the home exercises. I guess I was just holding out for the "cure'.
  • So should I get a second opinion from a Cervical Chiro near me?
  • Should I stop this 3 times a week corrective care?
  • Should I get an MRI from a Neuro Specialist?
  • Should I get an MRI from a Orthopedic Specialist?
T Cause: I don't really know. I think the initial cause was crazy combination (perfect storm) of heavy heavy stress over a family member, stomach sleeping with neck cocked sideways and up, loud concert? (12/1/15), whiplash right after from swimming and minor TMJ?? WTFK. Believe it or not these happened all around the same time.

I feel I need to calm my nervous system not fire it up.
Thanks for your thoughts.

I have been to a chiropractor and had it get worse. I have also been and had it get better. I guess it just depends on what is wrong and who you see. I definitely wouldn't let just anybody work on me.

In my opinion an individual with no knowledge of medicine and only specialist knowledge of the macro anatomy whom is trained to relieve muscle tension and manipulate the spine will never help anyone other than sportsmen or overworked office workers.
In the Netherlands a chiropractor school is not considered a university level scientific education and thus they can't even be held medically accountable for some of the damage they may cause. In many countries they are not real doctors or get a bachelor of applied science degree which in the Netherlands would be considered a trade school.

That said a chiropractors or even better, a mensendieck therapist can help you acquire the proper posture and the proper way to notice you are stressing your neck in a few session, after which you are able to correct the issue yourself. If you have already stressed certain muscles a single massage clears up the issue, then when you stress it again another single massage will clear up the issue. Chiropractors are renown for making customers come back using amazingly thin arguments that don't hold up against the simplest of medical argumentation and many healthcare professionals have accused them of pseudo- and even anti-scientific practices. A chiropractor is not in any way a doctor.

To tell a patient they are off is amazingly short sighted and ignorant. If you're not abusing your body in the most ridiculous way that would prompt people around you to tell you that you look like a handicapped person the way you walk, stand, or sit, then there's really nothing off about you. Slight body misalignment are genetic traits we all have, you don't go around telling people they're off because they don't look like a perfect human specimen.

If your gut feeling tells you it is stressing you out, I believe you've already answered your own question.

I see a chiropractor bi monthly and have no more pain in lower back region but she really hasnt helped with my T.
