Hello,

I take Ambien at night for sleep. Sometimes, it takes awhile to put me to sleep, but I feel very happy and stress free for that small amount of time. At these times, I find I can not hear T at all. It shuts it off. I only take it a couple times a week, because I know it can be addictive.

Has anyone else had this experience?

I used to experience the same thing myself but instead of Ambien I took Ativan. I was so amazed I called it my tinnitus miracle! Unfortunately, those days are over.

Just got a new script from my doc. I've taken it in the past but things were different. I just took one last night and all I really remember is reading on my phone and then suddenly waking up hours later. I'll pop one tonight and report my findings. :)

It kicks-in a lot faster on an empty stomach, btw.

How many mgs do you take?

Sonic17,
The Ativan does not work anymore at the prescribed dosage and I didn't want to increase the dosage. I pretty much rely on my sound machine to help with sleep. I do sleep fairly well but do wake up to T half the time.
