I had a small skin infection and was forced to take Amoxicillin 500 mg / 2 times a day for 5 days. Major spike! Back to square one... different tone, some clicking sounds, louder, insomnia, night sweats. I finished the course last night and today went for a 14 km hike in the hills. I feel a little better and tired, hopefully sleep will come easy now. It was my first time needing antibiotics since I got tinnitus (April 2020). I have been doing ok since July, lots of sports, sleep 4-5 hours without masking, normal mood.

What are our options in the future, if we need antibiotics? What do people do, if they need a dental procedure, surgery, heal a cold, fight a bacterial infection? Are the spikes irreversible? Some say yes (Liam Boehm, TOT), some say the damage is permanent and will lead to deafness?

There are some long timers on the forums, who have had this condition for decades, surely their knowledge and answers would be of great value! I am all ears... ;) (bad joke).
