Auditory Cortex Neuroplasticity and Aging

Drat, that link above no longer works. I did find a few other articles, like this one from 2020:

Reintroducing Brain Plasticity Lost in Adulthood

I wonder whether any further progress was made. I'll continue searching around.

My interest in this is to gain information on whether my 25 year tinnitus can be mitigated at all by devices which rely on neuroplasticity. I am 70 years old and my neurons have probably lost all plasticity. So Lenire and Susan Shore's device may not even have a chance to work on me unless some breakthrough occurs.

I am 10 weeks into Lenire and not observing any major effects, positive or negative. I rushed into buying it without doing proper research on neuroplasticity. I may be getting some minor improvement, but that could be wishful thinking.

Lenire is pretty much hot garbage. Neuroplasticity is something that humans lose with time but slightly, otherwise you would never be able to learn anything new at an older age which isn't true.

And, if Dr. Susan Shore is correct about us basically having misfiring neurons - all we need to do is to calm them down which has nothing to do with neuroplasticity.
