Has anyone heard of tinnitus being caused by birth.control??

I've been taking mine since Nov 2009 and got my tinnitus Nov 2014. Not sure of what the cause is. Has anyone gotten tinnitus from birth control and if they stopped did their T go away or quiet down?

I took birth control for a very short time in the years 2002 and 2003, before I had my T. I took TRICYCLEN, not sure what the name is in the USA.

In my case, no impact, no T, nothing.

I used to have a IUD (mirena), the one that releases hormones and sometimes stops your period. I didn't have T back then and it didn't cause it.

I now have a IUD made of copper. It's my second one. No impact on my T.

My sister has taken a bunch of birth control pills, she has tried nearly everything available in Canada. She does not have T and exposes herself to very loud music shows...

Hope this helps!!

Looks like you had T by the time you had IUD copper?

I would be very surprised if the birth control took 5 years to cause your tinnitus. If it was the cause I imagine it would have happened a lot sooner than that.

Have you had any sickness, major stress events or noise traumas recently?

No sickness I got t in earl November bf and I went to a racing show in Los Angeles in early October. Only heard the normal quick ringing and it went away
Never heard it until November. I'm started to get sensitive of hearing idk if it's because of the weather. No hearing loss took two hearing test

As far as stress i actually.was losing sleep some days due to boyfriend snoring consistently and I would wake up in the middle of the night and move to the couch.
