I just went to see an ENT consultant who basically said go to the GP and get some antidepressants to deal with the distress your tinnitus is causing.
A friend then asked me about anaemia being a cause. I was surprised to see it can be. There is some research about it and it's a causative factor in a significant number of cases.
Why the consultant did not check this out is beyond me. I shall have a blood test to investigate but surely consultants should look at hypothyroidism and anaemia before giving up?
