Can Hearing Loss Make Somatic Tinnitus Worse?

I've had intermittent somatic tinnitus prior to to my hearing loss. I would sometimes hear it at night in complete silence and when I wore ear protection for shooting.

After my hearing loss, it seems like my somatic T is way louder.

Could it be after my hearing loss that my system turned up the gain making somatic tinnitus even louder? Does anyone know if this is possible??

Not sure exactly, but I can tell you that my somatic issues make my tinnitus worse. Not sure which came first as all my problems seemed to develop at the same time.
