Cause of Tinnitus
I don't know
During cardiac catheterization, a long thin tube called a catheter is inserted in an artery or vein in your groin, neck or arm and threaded through your blood vessels to your heart. Then they pump a die in to see what's going on.
That was on Thursday morning four days ago. I had my tinnitus under control with a change in diet (it was actually quiet) then in the afternoon after the procedure all hell broke loose. My ears started screaming louder than they ever have. I called the cardiologist and he said it couldn't have been caused by that. Then what? It's 3:15AM, it's so loud that I'm sick to my stomach. I don't know what to do. And it gets louder every day. I can only imagine what tomorrows going to be like. I'm in rough shape.
It was so quite...

I don't think it was the cardiac catheterization. I've had that in de the past but with no effect. Could it be stress? Hang in there this spike will come down. :huganimation:Was the outcome ok? Did they find anything?

I find your avatar quite distressing. Why did you choose such a gruesome picture?

Ah, the old "it didn't happen to me." After the procedure there was a plastic adjustable clamp with a pad wrapped around my wrist that applied pressure at the spot where the wire was pulled out of my artery so it would form a clot. Every hour the nurse would loosen it a couple of clicks. After a while she took it off and replaced it with a wraparound plastic bandage. After a while she had me walk around the room two times. As I was just finishing up the second lap blood started pouring out down my hand and all over the floor. When I got into the bed when she removed the bandage blood started gushing up in the air. Obviously it got fixed. I' still here. At this point I don't know if that's a good thing or not... But, when I posted the story on my facebook page someone replied that they couldn't see how this happened because they had the same procedure done several times and that didn't happen to them.
I have had this affliction for over ten months. Anytime I mention a supplement that I took that made it worse someone says that they took the same thing and it didn't affect their tinnitus so it must be something else effecting mien.
People keep telling me to hang in there because it will get better. It's so loud right now I'm shaking all over. As the time passes it gets worse not better.

As you can see I replaced my gruesome avatar with one of my all time heros.

Sorry, was just telling what happend to me. I did not mean to say it could not be. I said I think.... I had the pad thing on my wrist too. Forgot about that. Sorry. Did not mean to hurt your feelings in any way. I know what you are going through and it is horrible.

Didn't mean to be rude. This IS horrible. In ten months it's never been like this. I don't know what to do. I don't think I can stand this. People try to be helpful and give me support and reassurance. My friend's getting tired of hearing about it. He has tinnitus so he doesn't see what the big deal is. I told him I had been in my convertible in the garage and was thinking about starting it up and finally putting a stop to this torture. He said that while I was there I should have just gone for a ride in the fresh air. Or another friend says "go for a walk, you'll feel better." I know that they feel helpless and frustrated but they just don't get it.
