Hi there,
My problem started around 3 months ago, I realized it just after drinking 2 glasses of wine. Then it became every day/night nightmare not even drinking, for about month. It had very fast tempo, few beats per second, sometimes just little clicking, sometimes I felt like part of head is hit by pole. Luckily I found out that earbud or any earpiece helps a lot.
Then it slowly started to disappear. Funny enugh, during the worst period I had few bright days just after parties with lot of alcohol (wedding). Also when I was doing a very heavy physical exercise (mountain trek for instance), it disappeared as well.
Now it starts only while drinking alcohol (just glass of wine during dinner), immediately.
I've been to a few doctors, they didn't find a thing wrong. Blood pressure ok, hearing test was perfect, objective tinnitus not found, in-ear pressure ok, middle-ear test as well ok. But some people claim it might be from cervical spine.
Cheers, Marek from CZ.
