Working as a musician
Hi, everyone! I'm new to this forum. I'm a musician with mild tinnitus and I also work as a music and research audiologist. I'm conducting a survey study looking at changes in hearing, specifically tinnitus, in the COVID-19 era.

If you have about 15 minutes to spare, I would love to have all of you take this survey:

You will be asked for an email address. That information is so that duplicate responses can be tracked. All information will be de-identified and no one will see that information but me as this is for research, not for marketing.

The survey also asks if you work in the music industry. If you do, please answer yes and contact me for a separate survey link!

Thank you all so much,
Heather Malyuk, AuD

Done.

In regard to the sleep questions I had low scores for how tinnitus affects my sleep, but I take Clonazepam specifically for this every night. Without it, I didn't sleep for literally weeks straight before it was prescribed. But the general timelines of pre and post COVID-19 with no additional info box in those sections prevented any clarification.

I answered negatively to a lot of the 0-100 but it was more with respect to hyperacusis than tinnitus since tinnitus doesn't bother me too much these days.

I have had sleep issues my entire life so those answers may be taken with a grain of salt in my particular case.

I have answered highly to some questions because of the nature of my tinnitus, which is extremely unstable, rather than actually having it. Hourly fluctuations and/or reactive tinnitus is a soul crushing beast for sure.
