Does anyone have experience with using Clotrimazole anti-fungal creams?

From what I can tell online it is not supposed to be ototoxic.

However I am experiencing a spike after just two minor applications, I can't be certain if it's related or not of course.

I'm finishing up my treatment with an antifungal cream soon, been using it almost a week.

I tried the exact same cream about a month ago and it seemed to spike my tinnitus, but now I think I was just imagining it.

It's very difficult to say if your tinnitus is as reactive to sounds and also fluctuates as much as mine does.

I retried on a very good day and it didn't seem to cause a spike, infact I had 2 very good days after.

The amount of antifungal agent getting into the bloodstream from the cream on the skin should be negligible, plus they're usually not known to be ototoxic.

The one I am using is called Isoconazole.

Hi Eric,

I went to my ENT today for itching in my ears. He told me it's a fungal ear infection and prescribed me Clotrimazole based ear drops. Did your spike settle down from that, and did it clear the ear infection? I am very scared to take this :(

This particular spike seems to have calmed down but I wasn't taking this for an ear infection. I won't be trying this again.
