Come to Australia...

I don't know if it is an urban legend but the previous owners of our house, pictured left, said that they found a snake under the bed in the guest room!
That was 14 years ago and we haven't seen one yet!

I've always feared snakes and spiders.

Nearby me, a pet king cobra was accidentally set free recently. I was quite frightened it would reach my place. Checked all the possible places a couple of times to make sure...

Australia is lovely, but the damn scary animals are off putting to some degree.

Markku - it is a legend that Aussies love to promote!
The worst thing that will get you are mosquito bites and they don't even carry Malaria!
No rabies either.
A couple of shark attacks every few years - not bad for a population of 25 million.

We live in a country town so have many friends who live rurally and one in particular just found her 6th brown snake on the verandah of the season!
We are in town so no snakes here, but tonnes of redbacks outside!

I've had a secret dislike of Australia for quite a while. Add this to the list of reasons I won't go.

I had an ex gf go there and sleep with some crocodile Dundee dude on vacation. It wasn't nice. :(

Unless there's some awesome Aussie girl looking for a bored yank like me to come on down! Haha :) I could deal with the spiders and snakes then. You just stay away from the sharp ends, it's easy.

Oh lord... My worst fear in the entire world is spiders :-0 i would just litterly fall over and die seriously... Snakes
Tho they can crawl all over me all they want lol

well in a few months im gonna finish my studies and then i will let you know;D
I was going out for 2 years with a lady who has a luxury condo in Hurghada, she showed me pictures the beaches are wonderful...what a paradise. However when she finally invited me to Egypt I came down with severe tinnitus and we broke up  - she could not deal with my sufferings.
How is the situation in Hurghada today? - with all the violence and all, is it safe?

Excellent! Can we find her house and throw some rocks on her window? I know nobody lives there most of the time because she lives in Canada and Russia and she kicked me out on the street with severe tinnitus!

lol of course we can :D

I for one, can get behind this.

If you've all but given up on treatment, then Australia is a great place. There's Myriam Westcott of course, and then there's...er.....er...umm.....forget it.

Ah...Australia, spent a year there when I was 20, traveled around, goofed off....best time of my life even with all the creepy crawly creatures :)

I got bitten by something in Australia. didn`t hurt too much so did `nt think much of it ... but took 6 month for the red massive patch in my side to dissappear! also after few months discoverd some type of fangs sticking out of it, got a knife and pulled them out ... just like 2 little insect teeth (or baby snake :)) ... still alive today though ... ;)
