I've had "low pitch" background T for 20 years that occasionally was bothersome. Learned to keep my mind off of the noise, and it was livable.
Been seeing the same chiropractor for 10+ years that was just adjustments for my lower back. However, the past 3 years my neck has been giving me issues and the chiro included neck adjustments.
None of my chiro visits were directed to relieve T, but did noticed in general it helped, indirectly. UNTIL LAST WEEK!
I went to get my neck adjustment for pain relief and alignment. Normally my neck makes a popping sound, it feels good and helps the pain when that happens. But this last adjustment it didn't make that sound and it felt like my neck was over stretched. Left side kinda behind and below the ear.
This adjustment kicked in my T 4-fold. It is a higher pitch now, and I am unable to block it out let alone coping with this new high pitch sound.
What is my next course of action? Go back to the chiro to try to realign my neck to undo what happened? In the hope it will put my T where it was before. Or it could make this more serious and just make my T even worse. (Just a note, I would trade my neck pain to get my T back where it was before)
Past xrays, MRIs, specialists say my neck cervical areas have some small bone spurs and bulging discs, and to some degree of degeneration, but all in all the general common diagnosis is osteoarthritis. I'm 62... and not on any meds. I could be mentally stressed because I just retired after working 42 years and a new life style I'm not use too is ahead.
