      I have 2 choices....

Westone (seems easier to get in and out...):

Microsonic (seems like it could be difficult getting the filter and plug out).

I need to figure out which to go with and the two styles seem different. I know a lot of you have custom plugs...I'm not sure which way to go and they'll be expensive so I want to try to choose right.

Pros and cons for each? Your experience with these or styles like these appreciated!

      oh, third option... lol

Please remember if you intend using ear protection at venues where there is loud noise, you still need to be aware of loud sounds, so don't put too much faith in earplugs. If external sound is loud enough it can still reach the inner ear by bone conduction.

@Michael Leigh I don't know that I'll ever go to loud venues again. My tinnitus spikes for usually 2-4 days just from random loudish sounds at home. I hope I'm never in a situation loud enough to harm from bone conduction. Thanks.

I'm thinking more of you out there have Westones... they seem better imo. Do you think they're the better choice?

Give it time @Zinnia and read my articles: Tinnitus, A Personal View and Hyperacusis, As I see it. Use sound enrichment at night.

Go westone...luv em...best investment i have made.. just be mindful of situations..like michael said certain types of noise such as loud bass can effect you regardless of protection. Good luck man.
