Ever since December 2017, I began to experience sensitivity to loud sounds. Went to 3 ENTs, all of which said it was acoustic trauma and there were no complications on the tests I did. I've been taking medication that was recently changed because the first ones had no effect.
However, the 3rd ENT that I went to, he said I had earwax on my tympanic membrane and decided to suction it out. He then gave me Earwax softeners, drops, to be used at night before I sleep. All is well, until I kept the drops.
My ears feel full but hearing is okay. I tried the valsalva maneuver to try to make it feel okay, but didn't. The next thing I figured, whenever I chew, I hear popping noises on my left ear the moment I open my jaw. I tried doing this without food and it doesn't pop. Then I tried nodding, and it pops. Twisted my head, it doesn't.
Also, I have been having this pain behind my hear, by the skull area more like. It reoccurs now and then. It's like a sharp pain that intervals at 10 seconds, then stops for a good long hours maybe. My 2nd ENT doctor said it was a muscle based problem and he told me to do PhysioTherapy on it. So I did, but the PT told me that it wasn't muscle. What could be the possible reasons these things are occuring to me?
