Easy Ear Wax Softening/Removal Method: Hot Baths, Pen Lid, Ear Pick/Scoop

I was told I have ear wax impacted on one of my ear drums and a bit on the other. As the wax was quite dark, it was there a while and unlikely to come out without intervention.

Anyhow... been taking just a couple of hot baths recently and been dipping my head under for a few moments and as I'm sitting at my desk at work I feel a bit greasy in the ear area and I notice I can pick out wax with a pen lid at the outer surface of my ear canal.

Couple more baths later and then tonight, using a metal thing I got off Amazon - long thin thing with a half cup at the end [think it's for ear wax as it happens] and I'm able to scoop out a sizeable chunk of dark ear wax.

So... no more 3 weeks worth of olive oil 3 times a day, for it still not to budge. And a 6 month NHS wait.

Have a hot bath instead. Prod with extreme caution at your own risk.

P.s - I didnt put pen lid in the title.

I would not stick metal things in your ears. A blow to the eardrum can worsen tinnitus and/or perforate the eardrum.
