Hello Tinnitians! I am so happy to say that my 3rd year at the university hasn't been stultified by a spike I had over the summer because of antibiotics.

My secret to making tinnitus go back to base line was just focusing on my education and not the new tinnitus. It worked! I no longer need sound maskers, and I'm acing all my courses.

Habituation really is just as good as not having tinnitus, But it takes time to learn to not listen for the tinnitus, and it will eventually fade into the background!

I love you guys and God bless you

@Philososound541, that is excellent news! Thank you for sharing, your success will help many others realize that tinnitus does not have to be a life sentence.

You're Welcome Kolisar! I've had Tinnitus since I was a child! By the way I'm in the honors college and in the accelerated masters program for philosophy at the University of Arizona. Just because I have Tinnitus doesn't mean I can't succeed in life!

Thank you so much for posting this. I'm about to head back to start my third year of university after a big spike in my tinnitus as well and was so worried that it would affect my grades in a negative way.

I've always been a good student but it feels like tinnitus has stripped me of more than just my silence, but your story proves university is possible with tinnitus!

I hope I can achieve the same as you! Best wishes! Keep acing those classes and show tinnitus who's boss!
