I've just returned from a horrible ENT appointment and I'm trying not to freak out. First of all I was attending because next month I have a long haul flight and currently have problems with ear pressure and occasionally pain so wanted it taken care of, wasn't there for the tinnitus.
He asked to do a hearing test and a pressure noise test and I said no because of all of the horrific stories ice read here, especially when I have mild hyperacusis and reactive T. He then asked to suction the wax put and I asked him to do it manually for the noise was too loud. He done my right ear, uncomfortable but ok, then on my left ear started prodding, and was causing considerable pain, it then started bleeding and I left.
My tinnitus is now louder, he says he scratched the wall and not my ear drum but I'm unsure whether to believe him, I'm so scared he's done permanent damage. So fucking sick of all this bullshit.
