Hey guys! My doctor just prescribed me Luvox for depression and anxiety (in addition to the Lamictal I already take for bipolar disorder).

I was hoping to get some feedback from people who are on Luvox or have taken it. I know pretty much all SSRIs are ototoxic, but I am looking for any personal experience with tinnitus and this particular drug.

Thank you!

Bump! Did you tried it? How did it go?

I am also seeking for Luvox experiences from the users here. I can't find much topics regarding it. Maybe we've got more experiences now.

I am considering switching from Zoloft (which I think gave me tinnitus) to Luvox (which I never tried). I wonder how risky that is.

Unfortunately it won't matter much what people tell you because in the end it is you who need to determine whether the possible benefits of taking certain drug outweigh the risks.

An update: I am on day 11 since going from 100 mg of Sertraline to 75 mg and starting 25 mg of Luvox.

I am experiencing tinnitus spikes and sometimes what seems like a tone similar to the right ear in the left ear.

I am almost giving up SSRIs and I may consider treating OCD using Riluzole.

It made me feel really strange so I had to stop but it didn't affect my tinnitus if I recall correctly. Hope it helps you.

Does Lamictal help racing thoughts and anxiety? I took it for a while but had to switch.

It might help as it works on Glutamate inhibition I guess. But I don't know if it's adopted as monotherapy for these conditions.

I am now on Luvox only (100 mg) and considering updosing. I am having a spike due to a bad night of sleep I guess but so far my tinnitus is under control.

I need to updose as I didn't find the sweet spot yet. I wonder if there are any new experiences in this forum regarding this drug.

Hi. Did you feel like the Luvox helped your tinnitus at all?

I am going through a spike now due to a flu or anything. But I am still on Luvox.

When I swapped from Zoloft to Luvox I was concerned but my baseline tinnitus kinda remained the same.

But, when I tried updosing to 150 mg, after some days my tinnitus spiked and I decided to stay at 100 mg of Luvox.
