What the fuck is with Facebook video controls? When I start to play a video, the volume is WIDE FUCKING OPEN. Then when I click on the video to pause or stop the play, instead of stopping, the WIDE OPEN VOLUME continues while Facebook opens the video in a new page and it continues to play WIDE FUCKING OPEN.

Every other video player format on the entire internet stops the video when you click on it. Any video players I have used also let you set the volume BEFORE the video is played. Facebook volume control does not work until you play the video and it starts up FULL FUCKING VOLUME. Then you have to mouse around to get the volume control to open up, grab it with your mouse, and turn it down.

So tonight I was at my parents, I was on Facebook, I right click on the video before I press play, and it give me the option to mute. I do this, start the video, and then set the volume low. After the video ends, I want to watch it again, and press replay. I figure the volume would stay where it is at but NO!@@#@#@#$@$!$ THE VIDEO STARTS UP BLASTING FULL VOLUME AND NOW I HAVE A TINNITUS SPIKE. I panic and click the video to pause it, but it opens up in a new page, and I have to endure the blast for seconds until I figure out how to shut the mother fucking video off.

Fuck off Facebook you pricks. Thanks for the spike you cunts. Fuckers.

You do realize you can control the volume on your computer by clicking on a speaker icon on your taskbar? You just slide it up and down from 0-100%.

With a mouse hovering over the video pressing the "space" key will usually pause it.

There also are probably Chrome/Firefox extensions that prevent autoplay on Facebook videos.

I don't have a Facebook so I don't know for sure if it will work on Facebook, but at least try it.

They are not playing automatically Jimbub. When a Facebook video is played, the default volume level is 100% full.

If you disable autoplay, does it not give you the option to turn down the volume before you start the video?

No.

You can right click and then a small window opens with the option to mute. Then play the video and try to adjust it from mute. I find it is jumpy and tries to go up to full or 3/4. But the issue is to remember to right click and mute every time. I did it the first time, set the volume, then when I replayed the video it jumped to 100.
