I developed balance issues after an ear surgery post tinnitus/hyperacusis/noxacusis. Recently I had an episode of actual vertigo where I woke up out of my sleep with the room spinning. Since then I've had increased balance issues. I believe the most recent episode is likely cervical vertigo/cervicogenic dizziness and thus my original balance problem and this new one don't necessarily have the same origin.
In both instances, pre and post vertigo attack, when I have noise exposures that develop into pressure sensation, pain, raw ear feeling my balance symptoms seem to increase.
Does anyone else experience this or something similar? Do you think it's inflammation of the cochleovestibular nerve causing it?
