Back when the ringing was at its most severe, years ago, I would sometimes notice multiple pitches while lying down. It sounded like someone playing a chord, and the tones would change slightly from time to time.
I have never heard anything quite like it and just wanted to share this to see what others might say.
The sounds were similar to what you hear during a hearing test. I assume you know what I mean.
