I used to be more calm, cool, and collective. Then I got tinnitus after a night out at a club. It was my x wife's fortieth birthday party and the party was in a very small club and the music was way to loud. I notice the ringing the next night when I went to bed.
I first thought that there was something on in my house that was making the noise but later figured out that the sound was coming from my right ear. That was four years ago and it hasn't stopped since.
I also been taking a medication for my migraines called topamax but didn't think that it was part of my tinnitus and together they made my life over the last 4 years a living hell. I lost everything,my wife and daughters want nothing to do with me and they just haven't been supportive. I think god for my son who is my youngest and seems to be the only one that understands my pain and he's the reason I keep hope alive.
Today was a very tough day for me and I spent it in divorce court trying to explain why things have gotten so bad over the last 4 years to my wife and a mediator. But trying to explain things to people without tinnitus seems to just be impossible and ends up falling on def ears.
So we all know what's happening to me right now, yes it's a very loud ringing day. I cope with these days by calling my tinnitus the sound of silence and I'm able to block the noise out or by just keeping busy.
I plan on winning the war against tinnitus. Have hope and together we can beat this noise.
