Hi guys,

Today I went to the audiologic centre and I did a hearing test once again.

And my hearing is normal, only compared to my good ear my tinnitus ear has a slight dip at 6 kHz (20 dB, so still in the normal range. But good ear is 10 dB at 6 kHz).

Then she said it was weird because she learnt noise induced tinnitus is seen with a 4 kHz dip and 6 kHz dips are called divers/mariners dip.

Obviously I'm not a diver or navy seal so how did I get this? I'm so confused.

Your audiologist was misinformed. A dip can happen in any frequency with tinnitus.
