Hello Everyone.

I was looking up some information and stumbled across this forum.. it is sad to know how so many suffer with this, yet reassuring to know folks are trying to support and be supported.

Does anyone notice places like supermarkets make them feel trapped and uncomfortable with all the noise?

I can barely hear in these environments and rush around.. I may have to avoid them and have it delivered.


I find myself watching mouths move but not hearing.. and unable to focus past the buzzing.

Yes. The metal carts are loud, as are the beeps one hears at checkout. I always wear earplugs when I am at a supermarket.

Good day, my hearing is suffering but In busy places with so much noise I find it difficult to hear yes.. I can feel trapped by the buzzing as I'm sure all do.

If there is a group talking I find it difficult to follow conversation... but I get by.
