Hi All,
Last night I got a new tone in my left ear. My left ear has always been pretty good. My right ear has had the 1.56kHz tinnitus. Well now my left ear has it at 1.26kHz and it is louder than my right. It also had a plugged feeling and there is a notch there now. I'm not sure what I did!?!?!? The only thing sort of loud was I was testing out a wildlife feeder and used a bucket to catch everything that it threw out. It was loud, but not like crazy loud for 3 seconds. I did the test again this morning, but with hearing protection, only measured 90dB.
My understanding is the window for steroids is very short. So how do I get in the fastest? I'm going to try to get into the ENT, but am concerned they won't be able to get me in this morning. Do I do a shot in the ear or an oral medication?
Any help would be appreciated. I have an old (August '17) written prescription for prednisone but I don't think the pharmacy will take it.
