Hi,

I've had hearing problems for 1 and half years now. Fluctuating hearing loss in both ears and tinnitus mainly.
This all started 2 years ago in army, where I had a nasty flu/something that left me with a viral looking rash which never went away. I also have neurological tingling/pain all over my body. All symptoms began shortly after those weird flu symptoms.

I've gone to doctor because of the symptoms and had some tests done. Borrelia Ig/G was negative, though Ig/M positive. Doctor didn't think anything about this and just gave me some steroid cream that made the rash even worse, stopped immediately.

Could it still be lyme, even if the antibody was negative?
The rash, tingling and hearing problems are still there to this day.

Thanks a lot!

You absolutely have lyme disease and I'd seek out an LLMD (Lyme Literate MD) ASAP. Lyme disease is extremely tricky to diagnose and most doctors don't know anything about it.
