Hi All — After About Four Months of Intense Therapy I Consider Myself Habituated

@threefirefour are you serious about my picture? You can't tell the person in the back is a child?

I'm not gonna lie, I did that as a quick fun jab. Apparently people don't like it when you ask which person in a picture they are. Sorry if you didn't like it.

I'm not saying you're completely lying, and you may really want to help people, but yeah, you're motives here aren't completely philanthropic. Don't worry nobodies is. That's why despite """""habituating""""", they all linger around here under the guise of "helping others". If I recall correctly, you had stem cell treatment done to reduce your tinnitus. If you didn't care, why would you do that?

im not lying .. at all. i have habituated.

i had stem cells for joint pain associated with lyme disease, so get your facts right before you make assertions about ppl you dont know!

I took Celexa (SSRI) and really strongly believe it is the cause of my Tinnitus. So please be careful taking any SSRI people. T is a listed side effect with plenty of horror stories on the internet to keep you reading for days. Of course, if you need the anti-depressant than by all means, but just as a means of taking the anxiety out of having T already may not be such a good idea, especially if the risk is that it increases the volume of your T.

There are many ways of seeing things, but I think the one that comes closest to reality, is the fact that the bad called habituation, produces terrror instead of relief, because it means to imagine having to live with tinnitus the rest of Life with nothing that can be done, which is completely frightening and paralyzing

Living with your current experience of tinnitus may be a scary thought for you, but having habituated to t, it honestly becomes a lot less scary. its a background noise a lot of the time and is no longer the first thing i think of when i start my days anymore. that doesnt mean i want it to get worse, but my current situation with t and h is very doable. i wouldnt have been able to say that to you 4 years ago.☺
