I suspect that my tinnitus may be due to earwax being stuck to my eardrum, so I put drops of hydrogen peroxide in my ear.

Has anyone had any success with this?

it can cause hyperacusis and wonky hearing but prob not tinnitus.

you probably a plugged eustachian tube.

if it wasn't caused by acute noise exposure, it will probably get better on its own over time

So, I probably don't need to go to a doctor?

I jammed a Q-Tip in my ear canal.

you should probably get it checked out to make sure it isn't infected in case you damaged your tympanic membrane.

ear infections, plugged ears, etd etc. can all cause temporary tinnitus. they go away when the infection heals or the ears unplug. I was a victim of both following HBOT treatment. tinnitus due to ETD goes away right after your ear pops open.

also many times if you think your ear is plugged and you can't hear well it could be sudden hearing loss. get your ear checked if there is actually wax in there

Probably just temporary, then?

are you experiencing hearing loss or just tinnitus?

when i first got sudden hearing loss I thought it was earwax and it delayed my treatment for a few days.

make sure it isn't sudden hearing loss.

I can hear just fine out of my left ear, which is the one with tinnitus.

A couple of days after I put a Q-tip in there, I had trouble hearing, but I could hear out of it after the swelling went down.

What do I do?
