I have had multiple tests because of a pounding in my ears and rapid heartbeat. I use a cpap machine whose functions have been adjusted so that the rapid heartbeat has been eliminated. It appears from my research that I have pulsatile tinnitus. I have just started taking supplement for hypothyroidism. From my research it appears there is a connection between this and pulsatile tinnitus. We have eliminated hearing problems as the culprit and also arterial causes.

It occurs during the night and takes about 30 minutes to eliminate the beating in my ears upon waking. Do others experience this? Has the hypothyroid med helped? It is to the point that my sleep is constantly disturbed and I become nauseous.

Thanks for any advice you might have.

yes Ive seen studies on google.
My obgyn made the connection all by herself. I started feeling relief from minieres after Levothyroxine and Birth control pills.
