I could be wrong but I think part of my tinnitus (not all of it) is due to me clenching and grinding my teeth at night while I sleep. The past couple of nights I took some magnesium glycinate and did a jaw exercise where I held my mouth open for a while. I saw some video on youtube where a guy recommended using a wine cork to hold it open. Is this a good idea? I also took a muscle relaxer before bed (not sure if it is good to take long term). After two days tinnitus is quieter. I will have to see if this will continue. If anyone else has done this let me know.
