I think Carl will like this one. It is a .pdf describing an implantable device which would monitor brain signals and modulate magnetic stimulations in order to tame automatically tinnitus. It is based partially on the works of De Ridder and Vanneste who think they have found way to measure tinnitus intensity (loudness) by EEG in 2009.

Are they using something like this for other neuro applications (e.g., like epilepsy)? If so, it would speed up the testing process.
