Hey guys,

I have pretty debilitating tinnitus. But I have been due to get surgery on my deviated septum for about a year now and I have been throwing it off because of tinnitus. My deviated septum is unrelated to my tinnitus which was caused by noise.

I was wondering if it is safe to get this kind of surgery? I was thinking about scheduling it for this November to give some more time for my tinnitus to get a little better (blind hope).

I would appreciate any advice.

Hi, is the septum actually bothering you or causing symptoms? I have the same thing but it really doesn't cause me any real problems. I'm not a doctor, but maybe ask your surgeon if any nerves in the septum area are connected to the ears in any way. Good luck.
