Tinnitus Since
july 2012
I just passed by some construction being done on the road and I'm freaking out right now. Since I'm JUST in the middle of a spike done by stress and medicine. OMG I should've just turned around but I didn't think it was gonna be AS loud. I'm currently trying to calm down but holy shit. I was able to cover my right ear a little but my left ear took it all in haha. Now it feels kinda funny in my ear. Welp back to zero I guess.

It should be noted my tinnitus is stress induced. However because of stress and such my ears were very sensitive lately. Now I don't know what damage I have done. But it feels like something fuzzy is going on in my left ear. I know I'm sounding crazy whatever. But I really didn't need this right now.

@dboy7921 I would try and relax a bit. I doubt it has done damage, take it easy and asses it in a couple of days. There were many days i thought i did something and screwed up my t worse, but after a couple days i realized it was my anxiety. The stress can cause contractions in the tiny muscles in the ear and can cause some of the unusual feelings you describe. I get it from time to time, had it more so when I was nervous. Keep us posted but i think youll be ok. You might benefit from finding a doctor who has experience with T.

Usually I don't worry aabout it as much it's just that my ears are quite sensitve lately because of previous anxiety attacks and such. So that's why I'm freaking out a little. But I guess time can only tell really. .

Youl be fine did u have the windows up? And if u plugged ur ear your fine shouldnt give u a spike. Where i live its so noisy and everywhere i go theres loudass construction and even a few times my window was down and no spike so you should be fine :)

Actually I was riding my bike.. And I only managed to cover my right ear a bit. Which is why my left ear is feeling kinda weird now. I passed it on my left as well. I really oughta be more careful next time.:inpain::banghead:

If you walk by a construction maybe a brick will fall on your head and you will be paralyzed for the rest of your life or maybe smth will flow into your eye and you will be blind. You dont think about those things and they are rather unlikely - why should you think about your tinnitus then? Unless you stand for hours next to the construction its not gonna make it louder. i walked pass a loud construction for two weeks (back and forth) and nothing happened. If you look around this board you will see that it mostly gets louder due to 3 reasons: 1) loud events (concerts, bars for hours), 2) certain meds for some people, 3) stress. Get these 3 things under control and stop worrying about everyday life making it louder. Thats the best med we have;)
