Its 3:40 am and I just woke up to the worst ringing I have had for the past year since this has started.

Yesterday I had a theory that maybe all of my ringing was related to my neck so I did a lot of positive stretching and fell asleep at an elevated angle but I just woke up on my side and my ringing literally woke me up out of my sleep its so loud.

I am on the verge of crying and I have terrible stress levels due to anxiety please please help.

I am shaking right now Is there anything short term I can do right now to help this go away I want to throw up. This is like a 911 for me.

Zach, I'm so sorry your t is flaring. How annoying when you were just trying to make it better. I can't provide you with any direct help, I'm sorry, but I just wanted to say hang on in there.

Know that it will settle down again and try your very hardest to think about how much better it will feel when your muscles have settled down and then maybe you can relax a bit more.

Have you got any over-the-counter relaxation stuff in the house that you could take? Or if you can take it, I wonder if ibuprofen might help with any inflammation caused by stretching your muscles? I'm no doctor, but this was advice given to my son with his t, which is connected to his neck muscles. Maybe that could help?

Is there anyone else there you can talk to to distract yourself away from the t?

And have you got some wave sounds or music that you can put on to partly mask the sound? Is there any you tube video with sounds that you have used in the past that you can try now?

I hope it settles really quickly Zach. Please post again and let us know how you are xx

Hi Zach,
Try to stay calm and download some sound apps to listen too and have a relaxing bath and put some nice Favorite smelly stuff on to distract your mind with the sense of smell and lift your mood....lots of love glynis

Keep calm.
Remeber, T is a symptom. You are the one who can
tell it to fear you or you can accept it.
Just imagen yourself losing a finger.
You still have many more to go but
if you keep fooling yourself on that one
finger then you will never find relief.

Try to not look at it throughout the way you are
right now, its scaring you.

Hope i helped.

Not sure what exactly happens to T when you stretch out muscles that have been tense on neck/head area and release blood circulation etc., but even if it might cause a short spike, it shouldn't damage you in anyway. Having really tense neck/head muscles or some slight muscle inflammation can temporarily affect T.

I suffer from night-time bruxism and have been visiting a physiotherapist for a couple of times. With the exercises and massage, I could really feel blood circulating better in my jaw/ear area and the muscles that had been one tight lump were relaxed for a change. My T however changes or increases always after these treatments - but only briefly! This could be the case in your situation as well. How are you doing now?

Can you describe the sound? Is it like a loud tone?
