Tinnitus is a very heavy burden, and it's weight is different for everyone. I too once carried heavy burdens when I was told I had ALS, a week before my neck was to be fused. I spent a month recovering, thinking about having to sell my business, not driving anymore, and what impact it's going to have on my family. Then out of the blue along came Pulsating Tinnitus, now joining my regular tinnitus that I already had.

There was one thing that I had in my arsenal to help fight against my hurt and that was laughter. I owe my sanity to my wife's infectious humor which had to be dialed back a little, because it hurt my neck to laugh for a few weeks. Despite my challenges, I am very thankful for the laughter that remains in my life.

The love of family and friends has helped to fuel my courage required to move forward despite the barriers in my way. My wife the Great Motivator says, " I don't care if you have pain in your neck, your slow as a snail, or your tinnitus keep you awake all night, let's get going! for we have many things to do!" She knows that once I get moving I will feel better, bless her heart.

Because laughter is an endorphin generator, you can't help but to feel better. It makes carrying the burdens of life a lot easier, believe me, I know.
