Lipitor & Tinnitus

Hello,

New to this site and hope for help.

Two years ago started taking generic lipitor. Soon the ringing started, all the time.

My reading showed that statins can cause the problem.

I have to take statins but is there anything that can help with tinitus or another medication to replace lipitor.

Thank you for any help any one can tell me.

I've read somewhere that Qcor10 or some similarly named vitaming helps with T and statins.

Thanks I will look into it.
I stopped Lipitor for 3 weeks, thinking maybe the tinnitus would go away after the statins were out of my system. No luck.

Hi, I took Lipitor for a month and suffered a lot of side effects including very loud static T , I've been off the statins for 11 weeks most of my side effects have disappeared but I still have T but at a much reduced volume . I took highly absorbable COQ10 when I first developed T but came off a few weeks ago as I kept getting sharp stabbing pains in the heart area

Thanks for the article.

I recently, as of a couple of weeks ago, switched from Simvastatin to Lipitor. I wonder if it will help, hurt, or have no effect on my tinnitus. I also take Ubiquinol, the active form of CoQ10.
