Oops, misread the multiplication. However, in math multiplication is always done before addition unless you put the addition operation in parentheses. So 5+2*10 = 5+(2*10) = 25. If you want to come up with 70, you have to write it (5+2)*10.It's 5+2•10. That equals 70.
You are wrong in your 4th equation, there is only one fries whereas in the 3rd there are two fries for each element.Based on the, ahem, "creative" responses in this thread, I would say that perhaps the medical community will potentially have a new tool at their disposal in the future for tinnitus diagnostics: rather than testing for hearing loss when a new tinnitus patient shows up at the clinic, your local ENT might want to administer a math test instead. At least, it seems there is a strong correlation between mediocre math skills and tinnitus (if the responses in this thread are anything to go by...).

I hear you (and I fully aware of the fact that there is only one box of french fries in the 4th equation)... But I would either go with my answer (the original one). Or simply state that set of equations cannot be solved. 2 boxes of french fries is a different variable to one box of french fries (consider it "chicken nuggets" - or whatever it is called). So essentially there is an unknown that cannot be solved for (perhaps that's why the title was written "math problem you will fail").
